She always got back to us via some form of technology (text, email, phone call) within hours of us trying to get in touch. She also always made sure that another agent at Long and Foster would be available if she wasn't for some reason. We have heard stories of people not getting an offer in on time because an agent was on vacation, but we never had to worry about that!
